Ian Hanbach, originally from rural upstate New York, is a Founding Partner and Landscape Architect at TH-LA. Ian brings over 20 years of experience in high-end residential landscape design, having led hundreds of projects across eastern Long Island. His work reflects a deep understanding of the region’s landscapes and the thoughtful integration of homes and their surroundings. Ian received his Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He lives in Hampton Bays with his wife and two children.

Daniel Thorp

Daniel Thorp, originally from central Massachusetts, is a Founding Partner of TH-LA and a registered Landscape Architect in New York. Dan brings over 18 years of experience in high-end residential landscape design, with a focus on eastern Long Island. His portfolio also includes residential projects in Florida, the Caribbean, and Cabo San Lucas. Dan received his B.A.Sc. in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University. He also serves as the Director of Development on the Board of Hudson’s Helping Hands and lives in Sag Harbor with his wife and three children.
